Over the years I have had the opportunity to attend presentations by the Sacramento law firm, Trainor Fairbrook and am happy to be able to introduce Trainor Fairbrook to my valued Lender clients and to introduce the CLM Lender clients to the Trainor Fairbrook team and expertise. Daniel Steinberg and Michael Middleton are dynamic presenters who will cover several important and current topics:

  1. Broken priority issues that are frequently presented to owners and lenders when they are trying to obtain a loan after a project has already started.
  2. The importance of having contracts which require the necessary lien releases, insurance, indemnity, etc.
  3. The changes in lien laws that went into effect last year, how an owner can protect themselves, the effects of Notices of Non-Responsibility, what needs to be submitted by a general contractor to make sure general contractors and subcontractors have released their lien rights.
  4. The appropriate way for expunging an improper mechanic's lien.
  5. Alternatives for moving a project along without delays when there is a change order dispute, there is a balance between conditionally approving a change order so the job can proceed and protecting one's interest from excessive change orders at the end of the project.
